We called the number on our statement: EB was Event Brite

I had a similar charge but mine was eventbrite. I purchased a tour through them.

On the 23rd just before midnight I checked my bank balance (on line) and found that under “pending transactions” on the 24th money was to be taken out of my account for an unknown “PURCHASE AUTHORIZED ON 01/21 EB WINTER ON THE R 801-413-7200 CA S462022187151658 CARD” XXXX. I immediately called Welles Fargo and told them I’d made no purchase around that date and did not want them to send MY MONEY off to a thief, I wanted the attempted theft to be reported to the police. She, however, said she could do nothing to stop the transaction and that Welles Fargo would send MY MONEY to the thief regardless of my complaint. But that I’d get a “provisional credit” back into my account, but that tells me the thieves have priority over Welles Fargo customers. In other words it looks to me that my bank is stealing millions of dollars each day so they can collect interest for THEIR theft account and paying their customer back (i.e., for three days my money was gone and someone was collecting interest on it, X a Million!)
